We recommend that you complete your new patient forms before arriving, as this will save you time when you check in. If you do not have time or are unable to complete these forms before your scheduled visit, no worries! Our team will have everything you need when you arrive.
Orthodontic treatment corrects problems such as:
- Crooked and misaligned teeth
- Gapped and spaced teeth
- Upper front teeth protrusion
- Overbites, underbites, open bites and crossbites
- Assists with periodontal issues
Your first consultation is complimentary! We will not charge for your initial visit — there is no commitment and no obligation. This appointment gives you the chance to determine if Feinstein 360 Orthodontics is right for you, and allows us to determine if or when orthodontic treatment is needed.
Absolutely. If we determine during your initial consultation that orthodontic treatment will benefit you and that you are ready to begin treatment, we can start your treatment plan that same day. Not only does starting treatment at that first visit help you begin your journey to your “Feinest” smile sooner, but it also means you miss less time at work or school. We do ask that you let us know ahead of time so that we can reserve the time needed to take scans for Invisalign® clear aligners or place your braces.

Orthodontics is a field of dental specialty. It focuses on diagnosing, preventing and treating dental and facial irregularities, including misaligned teeth and jaws. An orthodontist is a dental specialist who has completed two to three years of additional training following dental school in order to provide treatments that manage tooth movement and guide facial development.
Dr. Feinstein is a board-certified orthodontist. This means that she has completed hundreds of additional hours of training to achieve a high level of expertise and skill in order to provide her patients with the highest level of patient care. Less than 30% of all orthodontists achieve this status.
No. You are never too old to receive orthodontic treatment. As long as your teeth and supporting oral structures are healthy, you should be able to receive treatment without any problems. Orthodontic treatment is available for children, teenagers and adults alike.
We, along with the American Association of Orthodontists®, recommend that children have their initial screening by age 7. At this age, some of the permanent molars will have erupted and our orthodontist will be able to easily diagnose any developing problems to determine if and when orthodontic treatment will be necessary.

There are a wide range of orthodontic treatments available, including both traditional metal braces and Invisalign® clear aligners, as well as orthodontic appliances. Our orthodontist will discuss your oral health, treatment options and smile goals with you to determine which type of treatment is right for you and create an individualized treatment plan.
Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential while wearing braces. We recommend that you:
- Brush your teeth at least three times a day, especially after meals
- Clean around your brackets and wires thoroughly — consider using oral hygiene aids to help with this
- Floss daily, and use a floss threader if needed to reach between your braces
- Rinse your teeth each time you clean them
- Pay close attention to the list of foods to avoid with braces in order to prevent damage to your appliance
If you have an orthodontic emergency, please call our office as soon as possible, even if you have a regular appointment scheduled soon. We maintain a flexible schedule in order to accommodate your needs and give you a more convenient experience, and can usually get you in for an emergency appointment fairly quickly. We will also provide you with instructions on what to do until you can meet with Dr. Feinstein. Common orthodontic emergencies include:
- Loose brackets
- Loose bands
- Poking wires
- Wire irritations
- Lost separators
- Discomfort or pain caused by orthodontic appliances or braces
Yes! Our office provides both clear braces and clear aligners. Clear braces are made using ceramic material that blends in with your natural teeth. Clear aligners are made from smooth, comfortable plastic and are nearly invisible once placed on your teeth.
Treatment time can vary greatly between patients. Advances in treatment techniques and technology have made orthodontic treatment faster, more comfortable and more effective, but on average orthodontic treatment takes between 18 and 24 months to complete. Our orthodontist will evaluate your teeth and mouth to provide an estimate of your treatment time at the start of treatment, and will monitor the progress of your smile to make sure your treatment is staying on-track.
